New breast cancer video launches
This #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth and #BlackHistoryMonth, Char and Leanne share their experiences of breast cancer in a new video brought to you by North East London Cancer Alliance and leading LGBTQI+ charity, OUTpatients.
They discuss checking their chests, how it felt when they found a lump, and how it has changed their outlooks on life, community, and their own bodies.

Meet the stars of the video
Char Bailey is a queer, autistic, woman of colour who is passionate about mental health and autism advocacy. She is also the Director of People at Birmingham Pride (UK) Ltd, co-chair of the board for Neurodiversity in Business (NiB) - the Neurodiversity Charity, co-hosts the award-winning podcast and radio show, Qmmunity, and writes for DIVA Magazine.
Leeanne Adu FEPAA identifies as black and bisexual, and is an advocate for breast cancer awareness, an ambassador for Black Women Rising UK, and has been on TV shows like This Morning encouraging everyone to check their chests!
