Prostate cancer - it's not a game

Introduction

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer affecting men in the UK, accounting for 26% of male cancers in 2017. It’s most common in black men, followed by white men and men in deprived circumstances.

Survival rates for prostate cancer are good – when it’s diagnosed early. If caught at its earliest stage, all men are expected to survive, compared with around 49% of men when diagnosed at the latest stage, so take action.

The prostate is a small gland in the pelvis and part of a man’s reproductive system. It surrounds the tube that carries pee from your bladder when you go to the loo. The symptoms below usually happen when the prostate is enlarged and affects this tube.
