How can I share my experience?

1. Your clinical team

If you want more information about personalised care or you haven’t received something described in this resource, talk to your clinical nurse specialist. If you do not feel comfortable doing this, call the cancer information centre for your hospital who will help you get the support you need.

2. Patient Involvement

If you’d like to help us develop and improve cancer services across north east London we’d love to hear from you! Please get in touch. Find out more about joining our Patient and Carer Voice in Cancer representative group.

Please email nelondonicb.pcvc@nhs.net or phone 07503 373 533.

3. National Cancer Patient Experience Survey

This asks detailed questions about your experiences throughout your cancer treatment. The results are used to make improvements to cancer services. This is sent to some people with cancer each year. If you get one, please consider completing this to give honest feedback about your experiences.

Visit our National Cancer Patient Experience Survey webpage for more information.

4. Under 16 Cancer Patient Experience Survey

We want to listen and learn from the experiences of young people diagnosed with cancer to improve the care and support the NHS provides. Take part in the Under 16 Cancer Patient Survey to help us develop cancer services for children and young people. Find out more on our webpage

5. Quality of Life NHS England survey (QoL)

Quality of life (QoL) can be about your emotions, social life, money, or physical wellbeing. You will receive a survey from NHS England either electronically or by post 18 months after your diagnosis.

Visit our Quality of Life Survey webpage for more information.
