Strengthening cancer services through patient feedback
It is always great to spend time face-to-face with our patients at Homerton Hospital, and our recent visit was no exception! We were there to raise awareness about the National Cancer Patient Experience Survey (NCPES) and encourage greater uptake.
The hospital was busy and we were pleased to meet many engaged residents who were eager to ask questions and learn more about the services available to them.
We also had the pleasure of meeting an enthusiastic resident with personal experience of cancer, who expressed genuine appreciation for our work. She was excited to help amplify our message and even offered to share our work on her social media channels, a lovely moment of community support and advocacy.
Throughout the day, we took the opportunity to highlight the importance of completing the NCPES, how the feedback contributes to improving cancer services, and how it directly influences care in the local area.
Rita Majek, the Communications and Engagement project officer said
“It’s always a pleasure to be out in the community, sharing insights on the importance of completing the National Cancer Patient Experience Survey (NCPES). These conversations help raise awareness about how patient feedback directly shapes and improves cancer services in our area”
