Free online course on skin cancer diagnosis

Barts Health NHS Trust, in collaboration with NEL ICB, is offering an online short course module on skin cancer identification for salaried GPs, non-salaried GPs and GP trainees in Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.

  • This is a great opportunity to gain further training and confidence in diagnosing skin cancer and lesion recognition giving them access to the QMUL Skin Cancer module teaching material.
  • The module is one of the 6 modules of the PG Diploma in Clinical Dermatology and you can find further information in this link: Clinical Dermatology Online PGDip - Queen Mary University of London (qmul.ac.uk)
  • This is an opportunity for up to 60 GPs to be trained and those willing to participate will have access to the Skin Cancer module for 6 months.
  • Participants will need to complete the assessments at the end of the module to check their competencies and achieve their certificate.
  • All accepted participants will be required to attend 2 sessions at Whipps Cross Hospital Dermatology 2ww clinics in their own time to have some consultant-led clinical experience.
